Jealous of the new iPad Air that came out on Friday? Now’s your chance to trade in your crappy old first generation iPad for a $200 gift card at Target, which normally would net you $65 through Target’s electronics trade-in program.
Between November 3rd thru 9th, Target is accepting trade-ins of any iPad generation (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and Mini) in exchange for at least $200 to use towards the purchase of a new iPad or whatever else you’d like to buy at Target.
Here’s how the offer works:
- Step 1: Find your local Target mobility store by clicking here and selecting “Target Mobile” under store services.
- Step 2: Your device will be appraised in-store at the mobility kiosk.
- Step 3: $200 minimum promotional credit will be issued on a Target Trade-In Gift Card and is redeemable in any Target store.
* Visit TargetTradeInProgram.com for store hours, locations and to see if your iPad qualifies for the offer. To be eligible for trade in, the iPad must power on and screen must not be scratched.
The $200 trade-in gift card brings the price of the $479 entry-level 16 GB iPad Air model down to $279. If you don’t need the newest model, Business Insider points out that you can get last year’s iPad Mini for a ridiculous $75 with the $200 iPad trade-in and a$25 gift card that already comes with the purchase.
Do it. You know you want a new iPad Air.
