Meet the Firmology Team
Philip Nowak, Founder
Growing up in a small business family, I can personally relate to the day-to-day difficulties in running a small business. It is this experience that led me to launch my very own small business, Firmology.com.
My goal is to use Firmology as a real-time case study and information resource for other small business owners who are eager to learn how they too can leverage these rapidly emerging technologies within their business. Want to know the best part? We’re a small business just like you. We’ll be learning about innovative companies, products and services along with you. We’ll make, acknowledge and learn from our mistakes, while simultaneously showcasing our successes. We’re excited to innovate our business and hope you are ready to get started!
Laura Whitener, Managing Editor
Laura Whitener brings to the table several years of writing and editing experience as well as a small graphic design portfolio. She found a love for working with small businesses during two years of employment at a family-owned kitchen supply store where she was able to have a hand in running the business during a dreary economy in Chicago’s Hyde Park.
Focused primarily in writing the stories of people and their journeys to their current desitnation, Laura has found a home with Firmology, editing and developing news and editorial content.
With her three years of campus news experience and growing freelance history, Laura will graduate in April 2013 with her Master’s from DePaul’s notable Writing and Publishing program in Chicago.
